The Tequila glass is perfect for highlighting the finest characteristics of Mexico’s national drink. The glass shape was designed in 2001 following two tasting workshops led by Georg Riedel and attended by over two dozen Tequila producers, officials and cognoscenti. It was designated the Official Tequila Glass by the Consejo Regulador del Tequila, and will enhance the finest Reposados, Añejos and Reservas de Casa Tequilas.

Caring for your RIEDEL lens

• RIEDEL glasses are dishwasher safe. RIEDEL exclusively recommends MIELE.
• To avoid stains: use soft water (low mineral content).
• To avoid scratches: avoid any contact of the lenses with each other or with metal.
• To remove stains: use white vinegar
• If available, use a holder for the stems of the glasses.

When washing by hand,

• wash the glass under hot water (use dishwashing liquid and rinse the glass thoroughly).
• Glass polishing: use two cloths for polishing; never hold the glass by its base to polish the chalice.
• Stem Breakage: Occurs with improper handling = do not twist or exert pressure on the stem.
• Storage: avoid storing glasses in kitchen cupboards where strong odors can settle on the glasses.

Microfiber polishing cloth.

• Wash at boiling temperature (to destroy bacteria) with an odorless cleaning product.
• Should be machine washed at 170°F/75°C min.
• Never use fabric softener in the rinse water of your microfiber polishing cloth (to avoid a greasy film on the surface).
