111 years ago, in Seki Japan, the town known for its blade-making tradition, a man named Saijiro Endo started the company the Kai Group. Shun, meaning season in Japanese, has continued Japanese customs of developing the sharpest and strongest knives in the highest degree since 2002.

Hammer marks are evident on Shun knives. These hammer marks are unique in which they create tiny air pockets. These air pockets reduce drag. The Tsuchime technique has been in Japan since the Samurai. Shun has taken this technique to the next level!
