For three decades my kitchen buddy - Thirty-some years ago I received this knife as a gift. It has been my go-to knife ever since. Treated only with a regular old home steel, it has remained sharp for all these years -- amazingly so. Back in the day these had wood handles, and twice I've had to glue the wood as the layers separated. I see that the handle that Wusthof joins with this blade now is plastic -- probably a good idea! This old friend has seldom cut me, and never lets me down.
