It is designed for use with Miyabi birchwood cutlery, although it works great with nearly any style blade. It features an easy-to-grip birchwood handle for lasting comfort even during prolongued use. This sharpening steel is rust and corrosion resistant. Often a knife's edge will bend or roll slightly from normal use. Running it across the honing steel re-aligns and straightens the blade for quality performance.
