    This is a great replacement knob - This is a great replacement knob, if you want to bake at high temperatures, like bread for instance. I've bought two and really like them. Being stainless steel, it won't melt, ever. But the stainless steel knob gets a LOT hotter than the phenolic one that comes with your Le Creuset dutch oven. MUCH hotter. Be very careful handling it, even with an oven mitt.
