ADD THE BUTTER
Using a spoon or spatula, press butter firmly into the crock lid.
REMOVE AIR POCKETS
Ensure butter is packed tightly and adhered to the lid with no air pockets or gaps around the interior edges.
ADD WATER TO THE BASE
Fill the base of the crock with fresh cold water to the marked fill line.
COVER AND STORE
Turn the lid upside down and return to the base of the crock. Change the water every 2-3 days for best results.
