The Emile Henry Pizza Stone is crafted from refractory ceramic to help create delicious homemade pizzas with a beautifully golden, crispy crust. Designed to replicate the cooking performance of a traditional pizza oven, the stone should be preheated before placing the pizza on its surface for best results. Raised ridges allow air to circulate beneath the pizza, helping promote a crispier crust, while the raised edge helps keep the pizza securely in place when transferring it with a pizza peel. Large handles make the stone easy to remove from the oven and bring directly to the table, where its excellent heat retention helps keep pizza warm throughout the meal. Made from high-fired Burgundy clay using Emile Henry’s traditional ceramic craftsmanship. Its ceramic construction is resistant to mechanical and thermal shock, while the durable glaze is designed to withstand everyday use and dishwasher cleaning.
