Nelson and Liz love their two boys, food, and photography! Add in their love of their Portuguese roots, from there, Photos & Food was born. Nelson has been cooking and messing around in the kitchen forever. Liz, after the kids grew, decided to take up photography again due to her love of the subject from her high school days. They wish for practical and realistic recipes for all to try. Everything from main meals to desserts are covered by these two with a flair of Portugal always in there somewhere! 

The photos in Photos & Food are absolutely gorgeous! Liz has really shown her creative talent and ability when photographing food. The last blog we read, and saw in beautiful detail, was about the tomahawk steak on a pellet grill; which made us get creative and use our Ooni - 3 Portable Wood-Fired Oven with Stone Baking Board and give it a try: Delicious! And for those who know or want to learn what a wonderful country for cuisine Portugal is, well you are in luck with Nelson’s plethora of recipes from the region.

It is a usable spreadsheet to find exactly what you are looking for in the food world! The name, address, and rating are all there in a beautiful database. Xiao’s “Travel” section is the same! Simply look up what region of the world you wish to see through Xiao and read away instantaneously about her wonderful travels.
